overview
The Dazey Den is an interior decorating business by Dani Dazey, a renowned fashion, print, and interior designer known for her bright and eclectic style. Leveraging her knowledge of trends, color, and textiles, Dani's work has been featured in Architectural Digest, Domino, Dwell, and The Jungalow. She empowers her clients to go bold with their design choices, creating spaces that fully express their unique personalities.
Dani recently made her TV debut as the designer of the Trixie Motel, where she renovated a seven-bedroom themed motel in Palm Springs, CA. Her designs are reminiscent of the 1960's and 1970's, characterized by bright colors, exuberant patterns, and period-specific decor.
This project involved conceptualizing the creative direction of a conceptual rebrand for The Dazey Den. The goal was to evoke the bold and eclectic spirit of Dani's design philosophy while also conveying the warmth and creativity that reflect the brand's core values.

logo design
The Dazey Den [Wordmark] was designed to evoke the nostalgia that is indicative of retro Californian marketing. Drawing inspiration from the eclectic designs of 60's Californian logos such as The Beverly Hills Hotel and the Roosevelt Hotel, the logo features a loose script type feature that is balanced with a more structured mid-century modern font. The consistency of upward-rising typography within these iconic logos influenced the final design, achieving a blend of lucidity and structure that reflects Dani Dazey’s vibrant and eclectic design philosophy.
With one glance, this logo reflects the essence of The Dazey Den's decorating style, and the inspiration for the design is instantly recognizable.
